Frequently Asked Questions

I'm completely new to Pilates. Can I still join?

Absolutely.

Many of our members are beginners and our classes are designed to be welcoming, supportive and accessible. We'll guide you through everything and offer modifications where needed.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

Leggings, shorts, t-shirts, vests and activewear are all perfect. We recommend bringing an extra layer during cooler months.

Grip socks are optional.

Do I need to bring my own mat?

No.

All equipment is provided for class. You're welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.

How do I book a class?

All classes can be booked through our online booking system via Momence.

Simply purchase a membership or class pass, choose your class and reserve your space.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes.

There is free and paid parking available within walking distance of the studio. Full directions and parking information will be sent before your first visit.

Where is the studio located?

Pilates on the Corner is located at:

43 Regent Street
Blyth
Northumberland

You'll find us in the heart of Blyth town centre.

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class begins.

This gives you time to settle in, get comfortable and speak with your instructor if needed.

What if I have an injury?

Please let us know before class.

Pilates can often be adapted for certain injuries and limitations, but we need to be aware of any concerns so we can support you safely.

Can I attend classes during pregnancy?

Please contact us before booking.

Depending on your stage of pregnancy and previous exercise experience, we can advise on the most suitable classes for you.

What if I've recently had a baby?

We welcome postnatal clients.

If you have recently given birth, please ensure you have received medical clearance before returning to exercise.
